WORLD BICYCLE DAY - TURN WHEELS FOR THE PLANET # PART 2
A Cyclothon was organized in connection with observance of ‘World Bicycle Day’ for students/parents of AECS-2 to promote healthy and non-sedentary living habits as responsible citizens. I exhorted the participants to use cycles wherever possible to reduce the Carbon footprint on mother earth. The bicycle contributes to cleaner air, less congestion, makes education, health care, and other social services more accessible to the most vulnerable populations. Providing a simple and sustainable means of transportation, bicycling is rejuvenating for our physical- and mental health, and good for the economy, and the environment.
SPECIAL SWACHHTA DRIVE # TOGETHER WITH DCSEM
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has become a ‘Jan Andolan’ receiving tremendous support from the people. Taking the broom to sweep the streets, cleaning up the garbage, focussing on sanitation and maintaining a hygienic environment have become a practice after the launch of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. We strongly believe that, every citizen will follow this path and help to spread the message of ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’
SWACHHTA ABHIYAAN – CLEAN MY SCHOOL MISSION
Dear Children, A sense of responsibility has been evoked among every citizen through the Swachhta Abhiyaan Movement. The main purpose of Swachhta Abhiyaan – Clean my school mission programme was to create awareness among our students about the need and importance of clean environment. We strongly believe that, every citizen will follow our path and help to spread the message of ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’
NATIONAL SPORTS DAY- SPORT IS A PRESERVER OF HEALTH/ राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस- खेल स्वास्थ्य का संरक्षक है
Dear Students,
As Sports and games are an integral part of every student’s life and have become a way of life for a healthy living and commemorating the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey star Major Dhyan Chand; AECS-2, Mumbai organised National Sports Day for the students to inculcate the feeling of true sportsmanship and to enhance their physical and social skills. A special assembly was organised with the aim of instilling a sense of respect towards sports in the minds of young children as well as to develop team spirit, leadership and sportsmanship qualities. Various activities were conducted to mark the occasion :- Speeches in multi-language like Hindi, Marathi and English, Quiz competition for students & teachers, Oath for active & fitness oriented life style, challenging games for students & staff. Shri. Rajveer Tanwar, Vice-Principal emphasized on the importance of a balanced lifestyle between academics and extracurricular activities, in a child’s life and encourage them to play games for healthy mind and body.
SURYA NAMASKAR - FIT INDIA MISSION CHALLENGE [ PART#1 ]
Dear Children, Surya Namaskar comprises 12 steps that are purposefully woven together to benefit mind and body in various ways. Surya Namaskar is a practice in itself as well as a warming-up before performing further yoga Asanas. It allows for “opening” of the body as it stretches, strengthens and lengthens all muscle groups. Surya Namaskar stimulates prana, life force energy through the body helping to regulate our mental and physical faculties.
